I am currently participating in an exhibition at Cartoon Network Studios. The art show, titled “Cartoon Network en Amarillo, Azul y Rojo”, is a charitable effort with Unicef to raise money for those devastated by the recent earthquake in Ecuador. I was honored to partner with a slew of talented people, including curator Chogrin, as well as Unicef, Cartoon Network Studios and Prints on Wood. All the proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to those impacted by the earthquake. You can donate as well by just clicking this link. Big thanks to everyone involved for putting this wonderful exhibition together.
Above: My final for the “Cartoon Network en Amarillo, Azul y Rojo” Art Show. I decided to create a three-panel comic after I AM WEASEL’s legendary catch phrase. All the artists were asked to use yellow, blue and red to mimic the colors of Ecuador’s flag.
Below: The pen and ink original that I then scanned and colored. I had a blast reinterpreting these awesome characters created by David Feiss.
Below: A sampling of the talented artists participating in the exhibition. Love that “Fosters” piece by Leo Espinosa! Honored to participate with such a talented crew.
