On November 19th I was in awe of the support I received for the release of my book. So much in fact it has taken me this long to be able to post about it and not have my eyeballs sweat.
Family, friends, colleagues, co-workers, former students, current students and survivors – I owe you a debt of gratitude. I brought with me 50 copies (all I had at the time, more on the way) and sold them all in an hour. Someone pointed out to me that’s almost one every minute. (holy cow!)
I have many memories associated with my battle with cancer; the day I received my diagnosis, the day I told my Melissa, the day I finished treatments, the day I was told I was cancer free, and so on…
I have another – the evening that love conquered the disease. Your support knows no bounds and for that I will be eternally grateful. I said it that evening, wrote it in the book and couldn’t mean it more; “I am truly a Lucky Boy!”
Above: A small slide show of photos from the evening at Nichols Berg Gallery. Thanks to everyone that took pics and posted on Facebook and your blogs – the support has been phenomenal.
